An Investigator Initiated Study (IIS) is a study initiated and conducted by an independent investigator who is legally and ethically responsible for the study. We undertake initiatives to provide financial support for IIS, based on signed agreements, which covers part of or all of the study expenses.
Study plans submitted by investigators will be examined thoroughly to check their medical and scientific validity and their compliance with Eisai's strategy, and the decision whether or not to provide support will be made accordingly.
Financial support for research in IIS is intended to contribute to the development of health and welfare, and is not for the purpose of influencing the prescription or recommendation of our products. We disclose information related to financial support based on Eisai's guidelines to ensure transparency in our relationships with medical institutions or other parties.
